elementor-size-default\">A presi\u00f3n y temperatura normales, el di\u00f3xido de carbono es un gas incoloro y no inflamable. El di\u00f3xido de carbono desempe\u00f1a un papel importante en la composici\u00f3n del aire de nuestro planeta, aunque es mucho menos frecuente que el nitr\u00f3geno y el ox\u00edgeno en la atm\u00f3sfera. Las mol\u00e9culas de di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO2) est\u00e1n formadas por un \u00e1tomo de carbono y dos de ox\u00edgeno.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70925de elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"70925de\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Como importante gas de efecto invernadero, el di\u00f3xido de carbono ayuda a mantener el calor en la atm\u00f3sfera. Sin \u00e9l, la Tierra ser\u00eda inhabitablemente fr\u00eda. Sin embargo, el aumento de la temperatura media global provocado por el aumento de los niveles de CO2 en nuestra atm\u00f3sfera est\u00e1 afectando a otras facetas del clima de la Tierra.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85472a4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"85472a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">En el aire seco, el di\u00f3xido de carbono es el cuarto elemento m\u00e1s frecuente. La atm\u00f3sfera contiene actualmente m\u00e1s de 400 ppm (partes por mill\u00f3n). La concentraci\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica era cercana a 270 ppm antes de las actividades industriales. Puedes experimentar este fen\u00f3meno colocando la palma de la mano sobre una roca oscura en un d\u00eda c\u00e1lido y soleado. Por ejemplo, el di\u00f3xido de carbono absorbe la luz en un rango de longitudes de onda entre 2.000 y 15.000 nan\u00f3metros, que se solapa con el espectro infrarrojo. Cuando el CO2 vibra, reemite la energ\u00eda infrarroja en todas direcciones despu\u00e9s de absorberla. El crecimiento de las emisiones se mantuvo comparativamente lento hasta mediados del siglo XX. En 1950, el planeta emiti\u00f3 6.000 millones de toneladas de CO2. Esta cantidad casi se cuadruplic\u00f3 en 1990, superando los 22.000 millones de toneladas.
